No one was hurt do I need to report this to the DMV?
If you are involved in an accident in the State of California each driver (regardless of fault) is required to file an SR1 form within 10 days if there are damages or injuries over $750.00; anyone was injured or killed. Read more. You can obtain an SR1 from your insurance company or the DMV's website.

What information do you need from me?
We need to know your auto insurance company, your contact person and the claim number from your insurance company. We can do the rest.

Can you really make my car look like it did before the accident?
We have built our reputation on our auto body repair expertise.

How long will it take for my car to be repaired?
Since every vehicle is different there is no set time. It depends on the extent of the vehicle damage. At California Coach Auto Body & Tow we take pride in customer satisfaction and our high standards. Our technicians are trained and certified. You can be sure we will stay on top of your vehicle repair and keep you informed as we work to get you back on the road as soon as possible.

Is my car safe while in your shop?
Not only is your car securely gated and locked at our facility, but we have security and surveillance cameras. Someone is on property 24/7.

What do I do about transportation while my car is being repaired?
We offer a courtesy ride to your home or office. Check your auto insurance coverage to find out if you have car rental included due to a collision often called "Loss of Use". If so, your insurance will tell you the exact terms. If the other party is paying for your repairs they will pay for your reasonable transportation while your car is being repaired. Some car rental companies give discounts when your own car is being repaired.

Do I have to pay my deductible?
Yes. Any reputable auto body shop will tell you up front you are responsible for your deductible. Any shop offering to "bury the deductible" is committing fraud. Insurance companies are aware of reasonable costs and won't be fooled. We'll collect your deductible when you pick up your car. To make this easier we accept the following:
We Accept Major Credit Cards

The other party was at fault do I still have to pay the deductible?
Your deductible is part of your contract with you insurance company. It is the part you agreed to be responsible for when you bought that policy. Your insurance company will likely pursue the other party to get back your deductible.

Will my insurance rates go up?

We can't say. We're handling the repair of your car only. Your insurance agent should be able to alert you to any changes.

What if my car is a total loss?
If your car is determined to not be cost effective to repair it will be considered a total loss. Insurance companies have "Total Loss Specialists" to determine the current value of your car based on mileage, condition, etc. Your insurance will contact you once they have made their assessment. Typically this includes car replacement cost, tax, license fees; and applicable charges to the auto body repair shop and finally picking up your car to take to a salvage yard.

After the repair when can I wash and wax my car?
We recommend waiting a few days to wash with a gentle cloth and waiting 90 days before waxing.
